Media has important role in the awareness generation and women emancipation . Especially for last two decades, media has been instrumental in improving condition of women must be stopped .Advertisement companies are competing with each other in portraying nudity and sexist appeals.
Media should be used to portraying images consistant with human dignity of girls and women .Efforts should be made to specifically strive to remove demeaning , degrading and negative conventional stereotypical images of women and violence against women . The media would be encouraged to develop codes of conduct , professional guidelines and other self regulatory mechanism to remove gender stereotypes and women and men.
Private sector partners and media networks should be involved at all levels to ensure equal access for women particularly in the area of information and communication technologies.
